Health Clinic
Healthcare in Okagwe and the surrounding area is inadequate. The only government clinic was closed, so a new medical service is urgently needed. At present even simple injuries are not treated professionally.
Preventable blindness and vision problems are a particularly serious issue that affects the entire family of those affected. The most common diseases are glaucoma and cataract. These conditions lead to blindness and visual impairment. The social consequences of these illnesses further worsen people’s situation. Early detection and treatment are essential to stop or cure these diseases.
We support the establishment of a health clinic in Okagwe. The new facility will provide emergency care, maternal and child health services, and an ophthalmology department, thus significantly improving medical care for the population.
