Lecture: Okagwe Item – Hope for a village community

In her lecture, Sr. Rosecarmel reports on her hometown Okagwe Item in Nigeria. The village community faces major challenges: an inadequate health and education system, as well as high unemployment. Sr. Rosecarmel introduces Maria Florence’s commitment to addressing these challenges and presents the work of the newly founded supporting association Maria Florence Okagwe Item Germany e.V., of which she is the chair.

Despite all difficulties, the community remains determined to preserve its cultural identity and to strengthen future generations. The supporting association supports Okagwe Item and welcomes new members and donations.
